ΑΕΠ Grows to over 60 Brothers
With the initiation of the Alpha
Psi and Alpha Omega pledge classes, the Chi Delta Chapter ended the 2007 school
year with over 60 active brothers.
Each of these pledge classes ended with 15 initiates, and both were the
largest pledge classes among fraternities in Davis. Our success can be attributed to the dedication of our two
rush chairs this year, Filipp ÒSparkyÓ Ovchinnikov and Brian ÒIagoÓ Goldberg,
as well as our new home at 336 C street, right across the street from Central
Park in Downtown!

ΑΕΠ Alpha Omega Pledge Class
With
the help of Spring Rush Chairman, Brian ÒIagoÓ Goldberg, Chi Delta had the
honor of initiating the largest Spring Pledge Class in Chi Delta history, and
the largest pledge class among all 18 IFC Fraternities at UC Davis. Pledgemaster Jon ÒFrylockÓ McEvoy and
Lt. Pledgemaster Kevin ÒPorky PigÓ Leahy did a fantastic job helping these
young men become brothers of Chi Delta.
Highlights of the pledge period include a brotherhood camping retreat
and the pledge project of renovating the shed in our backyard. The following is a list of the newest
additions to our growing brotherhood:
Saul
Jacob
Yoav Mendel
Justin Greenberg
Tye Gregory
Jordan Sedley
Andrew Lu
Jonathan Dunsworth
Bobby McEvoy
Ari Tuvia

Julian Habdank-Kolaczkowski

Fall 2006 Tahoe Retreat

At
fall retreat this year we were able to secure an amazing house that easily
slept 42+ guys comfortably, complete with tons of beverages and a hot tub in
the side yard. Despite the 30
degree weather at night pledges and brothers had a blast watching movies,
playing football, and just kicking back.
Surprisingly the pledges could cook a decent meal in the mornings.

ΑΕΠ
WINS 2 OF 6 SEATS ON IFC
In
another extraordinary accomplishment for Chi Delta, AEPi successfully won two
of the six seats on the Interfraternity Council Executive Board. This gives AEPi the ability to shape
the rest of the Greek system in a mold to help boost representation of all
fraternities here at Davis, and putting us at the forefront of change and
success. The fact that 18
fraternities voted shows how AEPi is clearly the most successful and idolized
fraternity on the UC Davis campus.
This gives AEPi not only power but the responsibility to make a
significant impact at UCD and potentially create a fraternity system that
works. This has significant
positive consequences for AEPi. It
puts us at the forefront of campus politics and allows new students to Davis to
take an active look at fraternities and specifically AEPi as the optimal
choice. As the new members have
just been seated, the impact will become more apparent in the next year. To see who won check, the section about
Campus AEPi leaders.

ΑΕΠ CHI DELTA WE NEED ALUMNI SUPPORT

CURRENT
ALUMNI DONATIONS FOR 2007-2008:
Dan
ÒYour MomÓ Fisher $250
Ari
ÒThe JesusÓ Rowland: $400
Kevin
Chatow & Alex Mann (UC Berkeley): $250
As Alumni Chair for this upcoming
year, I am making it my priority to give back to the alumni a sense of
connection to your college fraternity days. I will be focusing on trying to reconnect with lost alums as
well as preparing a Chi
Delta Alumni Day during Picnic Day weekend which is currently on April 22nd,
2006. We would love to see as many alumni as
possible attending these events.
We are also trying to gain support from all of you both as much as
possible, whether it be from networking for graduating seniors, to financial
support for brothers and pledges in need,
to simply giving us ideas on event planning, or donating anything that
you think a fraternity house could use (like couches). If enough support is given, we can jump
start an Alumni program at Chi Delta that could be used as a resource for the
next 20 years. As our 20th
Anniversary approaches since our inception here at UC Davis, Consequently, for
this goal, we need all the help we can get. If you are interested in donating in any way, visit us at www.davisaepi.com or contact me at mgklebanov@ucdavis.edu.

HELP SPONSOR A
BROTHER/PLEDGE IN FINANCIAL NEED
With the
constant cost of education at UC Davis rising every year it has become more and
more difficult for brothers and pledges on a strict budget to find ways to finance
their fraternity dues. In order to
continue the growth of our chapter we are constantly raising dues on a quarter
by quarter basis to finance the rising costs in putting on events as well as
paying national insurance which is currently at $250.00 per active brother per
year, and pledges are required to pay $385.00 for their pledge quarter. This amount is quite substantial
considering we at Chi Delta do not see a single penny of that amount which goes
straight to nationals. So we are
asking our alumni to please help us out in curbing these high costs, whether to
sponsor a single brother whose parents were just recently laid off or to create
a scholarship for a pledge who can not afford to join AEPi. We are asking you all for financial
assistance to help out fellow brothers.
For information on donations contact either myself, Mark Klebanov, or
Exchequer Daniel Sacher at the number or emails below. Remember you can write off these
donations, for tax id contact us.
